High bond issued for Brady Twp man in threat case
A Brady Township man received a high bond after he was accused of threatening his brother and trying to have sex with a dog.
Arrested Tuesday night at his home on Hobart Boulevard, Perry L. Lawry, 53, is charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and simple assault as well as summary offenses of animal cruelty.
District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Lawry and placed him in Butler County Prison on $100,000 bond.
Police responded to the home around 7:10 p.m. Police said they spoke with Lawry’s brother, who claimed Perry Lawry was highly intoxicated and had threatened him.
“(The brother) related that his brother has been physical multiple times in the past and was worried for his well being,” said the investigating officer.
In the affidavit, police said another man told troopers he witnessed Lawry completely undressed and “attempting to have intercourse with a dog on the living room floor.”
Police said they then spoke with Lawry.
“(Lawry) was highly intoxicated and related that he was trying to help his dad,” police said.
A preliminary hearing for Lawry has been scheduled March 30 before District Judge Joseph Nash.
