Adams Twp

March 12 — John W. Brown, 63, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and possessing criminal tools related to a March 11 domestic dispute on Joe Lane in Adams Township. Police said Brown hit his girlfriend in the arm with his walking cane.

Butler Twp

7:30 a.m. March 13 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Sheetz, 356 New Castle Road. Police said Keith Pfeffercorn, 52, of McKeesport, was pulling out of the parking lot when his vehicle was hit by one driven by James Widner, 56, of Butler. Police said no one was injured, but Pfeffercorn was cited for entering the road without clearance.

10:14 a.m. March 12 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Whitestown Road near the Vagabond Center entrance. Police said Josh Hutzley, 44, of Butler, lost control of his vehicle around a curve and hit a vehicle in the oncoming lane driven by Kimberly Foster, 54, of Valencia. Police said Foster suffered a minor injury, and Hutzley was cited for speeding.

4:56 p.m. March 11 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 68 and South Duffy Road. Police said Joanne Lutz, 28, of Butler, drove through a flashing red light when her vehicle was hit by one driven by Gregory Brandt, 47, of Butler, who entered the intersection on a flashing yellow light. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to a hospital.

March 9 — Georgette R. Fleeger, 50, of Butler, was charged with sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities for attempting to purchase a firearm from Down Range Supply while she was prohibited from doing so.

State Police, Butler

March 1 — Gary Russell Lisko, 34, of Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over by a trooper who saw him driving on Fleming Road in Buffalo Township and recognized him as being wanted on an arrest warrant. Police said they recovered a syringe loaded with heroin and 10 bags of heroin from the vehicle and Lisko.
