CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School will present the musical “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” at 7 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road.

“Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Darcie Bishop is the director, and Kathy Sutton is the producer. Brynne Barger is the student director.

William Weltman is the pit band director and Jackie Thiry is the head choreographer. The assistant choreographers are Michele Campbell and Kierra Thiry.

Bryan Dean is the set designer, Dorinda Aigner, stage manager and Naomi Wagner, costume designer.

Kimberly Stoughton and Diane Hunter are the props managers, Larry Baptists, sound technician, and Matthew Baptists and Jason Loos, lighting technicians.
