HERSHEY — Seneca Valley wrestlers Tyler Chappell and Liam Volk-Klos both reached the Class AAA quarterfinals as the PIAA Tournament opened Tbhursday at the Giant Center.

Chappell, at 113 pounds, had a bye before decisioning Travis Clawson of Penn Manor, 4-2. Volk-Klos, at 215, pinned Troy Peterson of McDowell in 3:05, then decisioned Chase Levey of Nazareth 6-5.

Butler heavyweight Jake Pomykata dropped a 3-2 decision to Wilson Spires of General McLane, but stayed alive in consolations by decisioning Stone Joseoph of Kiski Area, 3-1.
