The Butler hockey team’s season came to an end in Delmont Tuesday night with a 10-2 loss to Franklin Regional in a Penguins Cup Class 2A quarterfinal playoff.

Kyle Grasha staked the Golden Tornado to an early lead with a goal just three minutes, 23 seconds into the game. But the Panthers scored the next eight goals.

Grasha added a second goal late in the second period. Brody Simko, Owen Denny and Grant Holt each tallied an assist for Butler (6-13).
