Explosive 3rd period keys Freeport win
Melaina Dezort led three Freeport players in double figures, scoring 18 points in the Yellowjackets’ 49-42 girls basketball win at Derry Monday night.
Ava Soilis added 15 points and Morgan Croney 13 for Freeport. The Yellowjackets trailed by four at halftime before outscoring Derry 18-4 in the third quarter to assume control of the contest.
