Mars library to offer knitting classes

Mars Area Public Library will offer a new knitting class series, for both new and experienced knitters.

Knitting 101 for Righties and Lefties teaches the basics, whether right-handed or left-handed. The class is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 1 and March 8. Those interested can attend one or both class dates.

Intermediate Knitting introduces knitting in the round with double pointed needles. The class will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 22 and March 22. Those interested can attend one or both class dates.

Crafting with Plarn teaches how to turn plastic bags into plastic yarn, or plarn, to craft unique works of art with knitting needles or a crochet hook. The class is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 2.
