Gary Schultz

Gary Michael Schultz, 74, of Miamisburg, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at Stoney Ridge Senior Living in Miamisburg, surrounded by family.

Born April 26, 1947, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Florian R. “F.R.” and Helen Doerr Schultz.

Gary was a beloved husband, dad and PopPop. He is survived by three daughters, Connie Schultz, Lori Schultz and Deanna (Jim) Black, all of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Gaby Black and Vivi Black of Dayton; two brothers, Wayne (Alex) Schultz and Art (Cherie) Schultz, both of Butler; one sister, Barbara (Ron) Cain of Warren, Ohio; and several nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Craig Schultz, who passed away Sept. 28, 2015.

Gary was a member of McKee Chapel United Methodist Church in Fenelton.

Gary retired in June, 2014, from the position of parts manager at Mikan Motors, and was a mechanic for all vehicles at Community Care Connections, where he had worked for 32 years.

Throughout the years, Gary was an active volunteer with Butler County Special Olympics programs.

SCHULTZ — Friends of Gary Michael Schultz, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, followed by services at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Michael B. Coats officiating.

The family requests that masks be worn to the visitation and the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Gary to Community Care Connections, 114 Skyline Drive, Butler, PA 16001, or to Special Olympics of Butler County, P.O. Box 2561, Butler, PA 16003.
