Spingola, Raynes

Chandler and Elizabeth Raynes

Dr. Elizabeth Marie Spingola and Chandler Morgan Raynes, both of Alexandria, Va., were united in marriage Oct. 2, at the Carousel Shelter in Alameda Park. The Rev. Verna Call officiated. A reception followed at The Venue on Main in Butler.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Charles Spingola and Dr. Kathy Schweikart-Spingola of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Chuck and Trish Raynes of Dublin, Va.

The matron of honor was Maggie Spingola of Zelienople, and the maid of honor was Kathryn Spingola of Chicago.

Performing the duties of best man was Brian Huddleston of Radford, Va. The groomsman was Luis Piscura of Salem, Va.

The ring bearer was Jackson Raynes and the flower girl was Riley Raynes, the niece and nephew of the groom, both of Blacksburg, Va.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Butler High School. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2018 with a master’s degree in engineering and in 2020 with a doctorate degree in engineering.

She is employed by IBM in Washington, D.C., as a senior data engineer consultant with the federal contract division.

The bridegroom graduated from Pulaski County High School in 2006, from New River Community College in 2010 and from Bluefield College in 2017.

He is an IT support specialist for the National Association of Manufacturers in Washington, D.C.

Following a honeymoon trip to Disney World, the couple is making their home in Alexandria, Va.
