WEST MIFFLIN — Ninth-seeded North Catholic reached the WPIAL Class 2A boys soccer championship game by defeating Charleroi, 4-2, in the semifinals Monday night.

Ryan Shantz scored two goals for the Trojans (12-7), who won their fourth straight game. Luke Phillips and Dylan Greggs scored a goal each and Marcus Kurtz had two assists.

Charleroi fell to 15-3-1 with the loss.

North Catholic plays Quaker Valley — a 3-2 overtime winner against Ambridge — in the WPIAL final at 6 p.m. Thursday at Highmark Stadium.
