Matthew A. Smith of Butler was awarded a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from PCOM Georgia, a private, not-for-profit accredited institute of higher education in Suwanee, Ga.

He is the son of Beth and Jeffrey Smith of Butler. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Allegheny College in 2016. Smith is continuing his medical training in pediatrics at Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.
