Kaufman 50th anniversary
Bob and Nancy Kaufman of Butler will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an 11-day cruise from Pittsburgh to St. Louis on the paddlewheeler Queen of the Mississippi.
Kaufman married the former Nancy Eschrich on Aug. 14, 1971, in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair.
They have two children, Shawn (Vanessa) Kaufman of Greenwich, Ct., and Laura (Brian) Hoover of Penn Township.
They also have six grandchildren, Scarlett and Lyla Kaufman and Travis, Michaela, Isabelle and Mason Hoover.
Kaufman retired as a school psychologist for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.He enjoys collecting old toys and model trains.Mrs. Kaufman is a retired elementary librarian for the Mars Area School District.She enjoys quilting, knitting, reading and playing mah jong.The Kaufmans enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. They also enjoy traveling to England, Scotland, Belgium, France and the Mediterranean as well as making two transAtlantic crossings on the Queen Mary 2.The Kaufmans attended First United Methodist Church.
