Cynthia A. Resta
Cynthia A. Resta, 64, of League City, Texas, formerly of Valencia, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2021, at UTMB Galveston.
She was born on Nov. 25, 1956, to Stephen and Gloria Resta.
She graduated from Mars High School in 1974, and then earned her degree in psychology from Millersville State College.
Following graduation, she moved to Texas, where she spent over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, and held various positions for Schering-Plough, AmGen, Helsinn and Merck in the Houston metro area, where she specialized in oncology over the years.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria; and by several aunts and uncles.
Cindy is survived by her spouse, Margaret A. Boiano of League City.
In addition, she is survived by her father, Stephen, her brother, Stephen, and her sister, Valerie, all of Pennsylvania; and her brother, Lee of Virginia.
Cindy is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Anthony (Connie) Boiano and James Boiano; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Boiano and Rose Marie (Mark) Errico; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cindy loved her family dearly, and treasured her many lifelong friendships. She was a warm, caring, and generous soul, and her many acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Cindy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to travel, enjoyed boating, and had many fur babies including Milo, who misses her every day. She will remain a light in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known her.
RESTA — Arrangements for Cynthia A. Resta, who died Saturday, May 22, 2021, have been entrusted to the Crowder Funeral Home in League City, Texas.
Memorial services will be held later in Texas and in Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
Cindy dedicated herself to several medical causes. Since May is both mental health and stroke awareness month, in lieu of flowers, those who wish to donate in Cindy’s memory in honor of her lifelong advocacy are encouraged to remember either the NAMI of Greater Houston, 9401 Southwest Freeway, Suite 1234, Houston, TX 77074, or the American Stroke Association, P.O.
