GROVE CITY — Mars graduate and four-year Grove City College punter and kickoff specialist Caleb Brake has been named first team Division III All-District IV, an academic honor.

Voted on by the region’s sports information directors, players on this team advance to the nationwide CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.

Brake earned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference honors in each of his final three seasons. He earned Honorable Mention All-PAC this spring, averaging 36.4 yards on nine punts, placing three inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.

He earned a 3.65 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in accounting.

GCC wide receiver Cody Gustafson, safety Jared Hurd and center Vinny LePre also made the team.
