Bogan 97th birthday
Dennis J. “Jim” Bogan of Butler will mark his 97th birthday on June 9.
He was born June 9, 1924, in Renfrew.
He married Nancy Anne McElhinny on Dec. 16, 1952, at St. Mathias Church, Evans City. She died Nov. 16, 1993.
He has eight children, Dennis J. Bogan II, Brian A. Bogan, Eric P. Bogan, and Harry V. Bogan, all of Butler, Beverly K. Park of Shaler, Julie A. McNamara of Butler, Thomas W. Bogan of Tijeras, N.M., and the late Mark R. Bogan.
He also has 13 grandchildren including the late Jacob J. Bogan of Butler and 10 great-grandchildren
Bogan is a retired bricklayer with Local Union 9 and the Butler Country Club. He is a World War II Navy veteran.
He is a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, the Penn Township Veterans’ Association and VFW Post 249, Butler.
