A few of the green elements that were incorporated into the building’s design include:

- Work surfaces that are easily cleanable and function well in a viral-aware work environment

- Plumbing fixtures that use touchless technology and are low-flow units

- Interior lighting systems and signage that use LED lamps and energy controls, complying with “dark sky” industry recommendations

-Recyclable interior finish materials, such as carpet and paint, that are fabricated from high-recycled content and low volatile organic compound (VOC) materials

- Heated sidewalks that minimize winter conditions and eliminate the use of calcium chloride, extending their life cycle and those of adjacent planting materials

- Recyclable roofing made from recycled metal, coated with a “cool color” to reduce solar heat gain.
