Lifesteps will conduct a free developmental and autism screening for children ages newborn to 5 years from 9 a.m. to noon May 17 at Lifesteps Stirling Village, 375 Stirling Village Drive in Butler.

Milestones to be checked include hearing, talking, seeing, playing and basic social skills.

Parents will receive immediate feedback on their child’s state of development and will be guided to resources when delays are detected.

The screeners use games and ac5tivities to assess a child’s level of development.

Screenings take about 30 minutes.
