The 165th Big Butler Fair, running July 2 to 10, is seeking a fair queen to officiate at all the fair activities.

Young ladies, who are age 16 to 20 by June 1 and residents of Butler County or current exhibitors at the fair are welcome to participate.

An informational tea is planned from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 23 at the boardroom on the fairgrounds. The contestants and parents will learn the details of this year’s contest, cover state competition rules, discuss the application, review expected duties and meet the 2019 fair queen.

An RSVP to the tea is required by calling Judy Kennedy at 724-625-1977 or the Butler Fair office at 724-865-2400. Attendance is mandatory for anyone who desires to be a contestant. Masks are recommended.

The Fair Queen Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. June 15 at the Atrium on Route 422.
