The school board took the following official actions Monday night:

- Approved the payment of $4.39 million in general fund bills

- Authorized the payment of $2.3 million in construction bills

- Approved an agreement with Adelphoi Education for alternative education services for the 2021-22 school year

- Approved a settlement agreement and release for a due process complaint filed with the state Office of Dispute Resolution

- Approved a memorandum of understanding with the Education Support Professionals Association for adjusted work schedules during summer 2021

- Awarded contracts for copy paper, general, maintenance and print supplies for the 2021-22 school year

- Approved a speaker's agreement for Josh Shipp to speak in October 2021

Mars Area School Board approved a number of items in a special meeting Tuesday morning, including:- Administrator compensation agreements with Jill Colangeli, payroll and benefits administrator, and Christina Smith, transportation director;- Luke Cisar as a paraprofessional, with salary and benefits totaling $28,655;- The resignations of Pauline Novotny and Amanda Spoores.

MARS — Mars Borough Council approved some items Monday night, including:- Making a $50 memorial donation to Mars Area Public Library.Council went into executive session after the meeting for personnel matters as they relate to hiring a borough secretary.
