Broad Street school in need of books
Broad Street Elementary School in the Butler Area School District is seeking donations of new and gently used books for the school library. The school is reopening in the fall after being closed in a district reorganization plan in 2015.
Businesses are being asked to collect books for the library through May 10. The school will provide flyers and bins that businesses can place in central locations for book donations. Book donations can also be dropped off at any district school building.
The school is seeking books appropriate for students up to age 12, including series and high interest nonfiction books.
Monetary donations can also be made, with checks made payable to the Butler Area School District and Broad Street Library written on the memo line. The school can be reached at 724-214-3636.
