1 charge dropped against man accused of breaking into golf course
BUTLER TWP — An Ohio man accused of breaking into the Krendale Golf Course while high and naked on March 27 will have one less felony charge moving forward.
Christopher M. Wilk, 30, of Parma, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday before District Judge David Rishel, who filled in for District Judge Kevin O'Donnell.
After the hearing, Assistant District Attorney Terri Schultz agreed to remove the felony charge of burglary.
“I didn't think it had the elements of that,” Schultz said. “We're going to keep the rest of it.”
Wilk will have a formal arraignment for his remaining charges June 8 in the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
Wilk's remaining charges include felony criminal trespass; misdemeanors of prowling, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia; as well as a summary charge of public drunkenness.
