CRANBERRY TWP — S.R. Snodgrass P.C., an independent accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Pennsylvania, announced Friday the promotion of Brian Bender from senior manager to vice president, in which role he will lead the company’s Nonprofit Practice Group.

S.R. Snodgrass has an office in Cranberry.

Since joining the firm in 2018, Bender has contributed to the growth and diversification of the Nonprofit Practice Group, having nearly tripled the group’s active clients, the company said. He serves trade associations, social clubs, foundations, charities and other nonprofit entities.

A certified public accountant and a certified association executive, Bender serves as a board director for the Pennsylvania Society for Association Excellence.

He is a member of professional organizations, including the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Society of Association Executives. He served a three-year term on the AICPA Not-for-Profit Entities Expert Panel and, in 2019, was named a 40 under 40 honoree by CPA Practice Advisor.

Prior to joining S.R. Snodgrass, Bender worked for more than a decade in public accounting and for more than five years as a financial executive for several large trade associations and an international membership organization.
