The Federal Emergency Management Agency is accepting applications from fire departments for grants to help fund needed resources.

Along with fire departments, the program — Assistance to Firefighters Grants — is available to nonaffiliated emergency medical services organizations and state fire training academies. Those interested could apply at go.fema.gov.

The application period will end at 5 p.m. Feb. 12.
