Bartley 100th birthday
Evelyn Bartley of Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, will celebrate her 100th birthday with a Zoom call because of the COVID-19 pandemic and an open house in May 2021.
The former Evelyn E. Furch was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Pittsburgh. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1939. She married Eugene E. Bartley on Oct. 24, 1941, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeport.
Evelyn has five children: Terry Bartley of Port Orange, Fla.; Beth Bartley of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; John Bartley of Vasselboro, Maine; Nancy Bartley of Chester Springs; and Jim Bartley of Houston, Texas. She also has 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was a housewife and the former owner of Evelyn’s Dairy Queen in Perrysville from 1967 to 1976.
She is a member of Eastern Star and St. John’s Lutheran Church, Perrysville.
