Restaurant raises giving tree

CRANBERRY TWP — Juniper Grill is sponsoring a community food drive in partnership with the Wexford and Cranberry Township food pantries.

The bright, 15-foot blue spruce tree outside the restaurant will be the designated place for collecting donations.

Juniper Grill said in a news release Friday that it is starting this tradition out of gratitude for community support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

By supporting these two food pantries, the restaurant said it strives to bring hope to community members experiencing hardships. Non-perishable, non-expired food items are requested for donations.

Donations will be collected until Dec. 24 and evenly distributed among the two food pantries. Complimentary bags will be available at the restaurant for individuals to use.

Monetary donations to Wexford or Cranberry Township food pantries can be made payable to “NWCC,” noted in the memo line “Food Bank,” and mailed to: Juniper Grill Cranberry, 2030 Mackenzie Way Suite 800, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
