Butler Township commissioners and township employees are collecting nonperishable food and cash donations until Dec. 16 to provide food for needy township residents.

Donations should be dropped off at the municipal building before Dec. 16.

Individuals and families in the township who need food assistance should contact the township from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at 724-283-3430, Ext. 218.

Food requests will be kept confidential, township residency will be verified and times to pick up food boxes at the township building on Dec. 19 will be assigned.
