Class wins WVU TikTok Challenge
An entry submitted by Mars Area High School journalism students in Gabrielle Hock’s class was selected as the winner of the West Virginia University Reed College of Media TikTok Challenge.
The contest asked students to create a TikTok video on “Fact-Checking” or the “First Amendment.” All entries were judged on shot variety, topic explanation and overall creativity.
The students’ winning video entry focused on freedoms guaranteed under the First Amendment of the Constitution.
Participating students included seniors Macy Barshick, Davis Luedtke, Danielle Ridgeway and Kylie Worthy; juniors Danielle Bednar and Casey Neff; sophomore Gracyn Thatcher; and freshmen Gianna Depretis, Vivian Frank, Olivia Gamber and Reva Kalbhor.
