Police say burglar cooked eggs, took nap

A suspected burglar broke into a home in Concord Township on Sunday morning and made himself to home, authorities said.

The intruder is accused of cooking two eggs and drinking four beers. He then took a nap.

State police arrested Mitchell T. Graham, 26, of North Washington on felony charges of burglary and trespass and a misdemeanor charge of theft. He is in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.

Police said the break-in occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a Rolling Ridge Drive barn building that is being utilized for “personal use and living purposes.” During a later interview, Graham allegedly admitted he used an unlocked door to enter the building.

He recounted that once inside, he made himself breakfast, police said.

“Graham also related that he took a nap after eating 2 eggs and drinking the 4 beers,” according to charging documents.

The owner of the property apparently entered the building while Graham was there. Police said the defendant told them he hid.

While there, the owner found a note on a table that had Graham's name on it, police said.

The defendant is in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17 at the office of District Judge Lewis Stoughton in Chicora. Online records did not list an attorney for him.
