The Karns City Area School District reported that a student at Chicora Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.

The district issued a statement saying it was notified Monday about the positive test. The student was last in the building Nov. 5.

The district is working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to conduct contact tracing to inform anyone who may have been in close contact.

Facility cleaning has been ongoing and will continue.
