Pa. Senate District 41
Republican state Sen. Joe Pittman defeated Democratic challenger Anthony Deloreto to represent the 41st District for a full four-year term, according to unofficial results from Tuesday's general election that do not include a count of mail-in ballots.
Pittman, of Indiana County, has served since winning a special election in 2019. Pittman serves as chairman of the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee.
“I'm just very overwhelmed by the support the voters have given me to date. I'm eager to serve them faithfully for the next four years,” Pittman said.
He applauded the strong voter turnout.
“It's clear the election has captured the interest of the voters like no other. I think that speaks to our constitutional republic,” he said.
In his next term, Pittman said he will focus on the economy, family-sustaining jobs “and helping our community grow and prosper.”
Deloreto, a Democrat from Indiana County, is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an owner of Spaghetti Benders restaurant in Indiana. He could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
