SAXONBURG — The South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., will have a SummerQuest event including a PBS movie night via Zoom beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.

The library will show a half-hour of “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum,” a comedy adventure based on the best-selling children’s book series by Brad Meltzer.

The library is still closed to the public, but its express pickup window is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays; and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays and Saturdays for people to pick up copies, faxes, dog licenses and books. People can browse the library catalog online or call the library at 724-352-4810.

[naviga:h3]Kids’ Fishing Days set in Saxonburg[/naviga:h3]

The Kids’ Fishing Days program has been rescheduled and will take place on the next three Saturdays at Saxony Farm Lake on Addy Boy Lane in Saxonburg.

The event, sponsored by Concordia Lutheran Ministries for children age 14 and younger, will be offered during two sessions from 8 to 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday along with July 25 and Aug. 1. The event is free, and hot dogs and refreshments will be served.

Each session is limited to 100 people to ensure proper social distancing.

[naviga:h3]Street cleaning planned in Butler[/naviga:h3]

Parking will be restricted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday on 14 streets in Butler for street cleaning.

The streets are Mercer, Carnegie, West Chestnut, South Ninth, South Wagner, North Bluff, South Bluff, Liberty, Upper Shore and Shore streets; Thirteenth, Madison and Beckert avenues; and Bredin Avenue from Pearl Street to the end of the road.
