Portersville Christian School

Graduation ceremonies for Portersville Christian School, 343 E. Portersville Road, were at 6:30 p.m. May 29 and 10 a.m. May 30 at the Portersville Alliance Church on school grounds.

Commencement speakers were Rob Cummins and Jay Cost.

Valedictorian Eli Stroh is the son of Pat and Theresa Stroh, of Zelienople.

Eli is president of his senior class. He excelled in many activities, including varsity soccer where he was team captain, league MVP and won the Defensive Excellence Award and the Warrior Award; basketball, where he was team captain, winner of the Best Defender Award, and was an all-conference player; fine arts; was a member of the National Honor Society; and won the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute Award.

Eli will enter Gannon University's Master of Athletic Training Program in the fall.

Salutatorian Julia Schaming is the daughter of Bob and Sharon Schaming, of Renfrew.

Julia was a varsity basketball player, captain of the archery team where she was the high-scoring female in 2019 and was an Academic Archer each year she participated in archery. She served in the tech crew of many fine arts productions and was a member of the prom committee. She was also senior class treasurer.

Julia plans to attend Liberty University to study computer software engineering.

The senior class officers are: Eli Stroh, president; Julia Mangiapane, vice president; Jacob Hixon, secretary; and Julia Schaming, treasurer.
