First Baptist Christian School
The commencement ceremony for First Baptist Christian School was at 3 p.m. May 31 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.
Student speakers were valedictorian Nicholas Flatt and co-salutatorians Brielle Karns and Joseph Hamilton III.
Nick is the son of Dave and Jackie Flatt of Butler. He is pursuing a four-year apprenticeship program at Oberg Industries for machine technology.
Brielle is the daughter of Mark and Becky Karns of Butler. She plans to continue working in the graphic design field, and she plans to pursue owning her own design company.
Joseph is the son of Joseph and Diane Hamilton of West Sunbury. He plans to attend Slippery Rock University to study information security.
Class officers are: Nicholas Flatt, president; Kendrick Layman, vice president; Joseph Hamilton, treasurer and John Tyler Cain, chaplain.
