GROVE CITY — Grove City College's Touring Choir's annual 2019 album is available on major music streaming services.

“Grove City College Touring Choir 2019-20,” is now available via Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Amazon.

Music on the album ranges from spirituals to Bernstein's “Mass” and art songs. The choir recorded it in the spring of 2019 on tour.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Kelly Kriley of Butler was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Kriley was initiated at Slippery Rock University.Kriley is among about 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

OXFORD, Ohio — Anna Stewart of Cranberry Township, an architecture major, was one of the grand prize winners on Miami's University's Getting Too Attached team in the 2020 Solar Decathlon.The team competed in the attached housing division to design Peace Village. The students envisioned an affordable residential community with contemporary floor plans and unit sizes suitable for a variety of family structures.The Solar Decathlon Design Challenge, formerly called Race to Zero, is an annual competition open to students from collegiate institutions worldwide. Teams compete in a range of residential and commercial project types.

PORTERSVILLE — Slippery Rock High School senior Alexis Vajda is the winner of the annual scholarship awarded by the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club.In the fall she was selected to be one of eight Students-of-the-Month who were honored by the club for academic achievement and in recognition of activities both in and out of school.In the spring, the eight monthly winners were invited to respond to essay prompts that address service.Alexis plans to attend Penn State University.
