South Butler County schools slate return, retrieval of items
Students can take school materials to or retrieve their belongings from the South Butler County School District buildings beginning May 28.
The district on Tuesday released the multi-date plan for students to collect items left at school when classes were canceled statewide March 13 by Gov. Tom Wolf.
At the senior high and middle school, officials will set up eight tables along the covered walkway along the Dinnerbell Road side of the schools.
Drivers can pull up to the table corresponding with their last names.
Students who need to access their lockers will be directed to park in the faculty parking lot before donning a mask to enter the school at the main entrance.
The student will then be escorted or directed to their locker by school police.
Students who do not need to access their lockers can drop their books at the collection site and proceed to the Chromebook collection area.
All textbooks, library books, Chromebooks and chargers are to be returned at the collection.
School officials will have a list of each students' books and Chromebook, and will sign off that all school materials have been collected from each student.
Seniors whose last names begin with the letters A through L can go to the school from 8 to 11 a.m. May 28.
Seniors with last names M through Z can go from 8 to 11 a.m. May 29.
Sophomores whose last names begin with A through L and all freshmen can go to the school from 8 to 11 a.m. June 8.
