Sarvey 102nd birthday
Marlin D. Sarvey of Prospect celebrated his 102nd birthday on March 24.
He was born March 24, 1918, in Hawthorne.
He married Myrtle Wolfe on Sept. 24, 1940, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler. She passed away after 76 years of marriage.
He has five children, Marlin F. Sarvey of Prospect, Shirley Bilowich of Butler, Peggy Goehring of Evans City, Ruth Fisher of West Liberty and Tammy Stewart of West Sunbury.
He also has 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Sarvey is a business founder and owner, retiring in 1983 from M.D. Sarvey Plumbing and Heating.
He enjoys music, especially gospel music, mowing the yard, gardening, dancing, tinkering in his garage and spending time with family and friends.
He is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Prospect; the Syria Shriners; Masons Victory Lodge 694; and Lorraine Commandery, #84 Knights Templar.
