JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley School District has two students who have recently been named as 2020 Carson Scholars and two others who have renewed their Carson Scholars status.

Seneca Valley sophomore Nicholas Nedzesky and junior Faith Condrick are two of 477 students across the nation who received a $1,000 college scholarship award and the honor of being named a 2020 New Carson Scholar.

In addition, 912 students in the United States have renewed their Carson Scholar status, including Seneca Valley sophomore Kate Lipscomb and senior Coryn Ferguson.They and other previous winners are being named 2020 Recognized Carson Scholars for maintaining high academic standards and a strong commitment to their communities.The Carson Scholars Fund has awarded 1,400 scholarships to date to students in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas who epitomize academic excellence and commitment to their communities.
