[naviga:h3]Band concert benefits Lighthouse[/naviga:h3]

The Westminster Presbyterian Church praise band will perform from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the North Country Canning Co., 111 Arrowhead Drive, Slippery Rock.

The Rev. Tom Harmon, pastor at Westminster, said the performance is a fundraiser for The Lighthouse Foundation in Middlesex Township.

The band Treebeard Brown will also perform on that evening as part of the fundraiser. Harmon said Treebeard Brown will play pro bono in an effort to help The Lighthouse Foundation.

Raffle baskets and drawings will be featured, and food and beer will be available for purchase. Donations to The Lighthouse will also be accepted.

[naviga:h3]B’Nai Abraham Purim service, play canceled[/naviga:h3]

B’Nai Abraham Synagogue, 519 N. Main St., has canceled the 7 p.m. Friday Purim service and the Purim schpiel play because of the coronavirus. The March 20 Shabbat service is also cancelled.
