State Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th, is hosting three free workshops to help residents who qualify for property tax or rent rebates.

The events are intended to assist residents ages 65 and older, widows and widowers 50 and older, and people 18 and older with disabilities file the rebate applications.

Workshops are scheduled for:

- March 30 — 10 a.m. to noon, Summit Township Building, 502 Bonniebrook Drive

- April 3 — 9 a.m. to noon, Cindy’s Place, 125 North Main St. in Chicora

- April 8 — 10 a.m. to noon, Prospect Borough Building, 159 Monroe St.

Income eligibility limits for homeowners — excluding 50 percent of Social Security, Supplemental Security Income and Railroad Retirement Tier 1 benefits — are $0 to $8,000, maximum $650 rebate for homeowners and renters; $8,001 to $15,000, maximum $500 rebate; $15,001 to $18,000, maximum $300 rebate for homeowners only; and $18,001 to $35,000, maximum $250 rebate for homeowners only.

The deadline to apply for rebates and property taxes paid in 2019 is June 30.
