Going Hog Wild
While Punxsutawney Phil came out of hiding at Gobbler's Knob long enough to predict an early spring Sunday, children and parents enjoyed a fun-filled day of events at the Ground Hog Stomp at Moraine State Park. Among the doings were a hike on the South Shore and different craft activities as well as plenty of hot chocolate to drink.
Jess Rohrdanz, an environmental educator with the state Department of Natural Resources Bureau of State Parks, helps 5-year-old Johannah Andrzejczak with one of the crafts.
Anna Carlson, 9, and her mother, Jess Carlson of Pittsburgh, team up during another craft activity.
