PITTSBURGH — Those with digestive disorders now have an advanced lab where testing can be performed to diagnose their issues.
Allegheny Health Network and Highmark Health on Monday opened the new AHN Center for Advanced Endoscopy at Allegheny General Hospital.
The state-of-the-art, 13,000-square-foot facility is equipped with the latest advanced technologies for diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, according to an AHN news release.
The lab has 18 pre- and post-procedure bays and six procedure rooms that are staffed by experienced gastroenterologists, advanced endoscopists, surgeons and nurses.
The new facility is on the first floor of AGH’s Snyder Pavilion.
