Sandy and David Meier in 1969

David and Sandy Meier of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a June anniversary celebration with 100 guests.

The Meiers married on June 11, 1969, at Bethany United Church of Christ.

They have two children, Christy (Greg) Beer of Bulter and Heidi Christy and David Kodrin of Butler.

They also have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Meier retired from AGR. He worked at Pullman Standard from 1965 to 1982.

Mrs. Meier worked at Bobbie Brooks until 1982 and continues to be a caregiver for the family.

She enjoys baking and crafting.

The Meiers enjoy fishing and spending time in Canada, where they have been going all of their marriage. They also enjoy spending time with family.

They are members of Community Alliance Church.
