Two men face assault charges after a violent encounter at a Butler Township residence.

Nathan Cornetti, 27, of Butler and Dylan Deal, 18, of Lyndora entered a residence around 7 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue, according to a Butler Township Police Department news release.

Their arrival spurred an argument, police report. The report states that “Deal struck a 21-year-old male and Cornetti produced a pistol.” Cornetti then pointed the pistol at people in the room, the report states.

Cornetti is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Deal is charged with simple assault, consumption of alcohol by a minor and harassment.
