Free concerts in Cranberry Township are featured during Community Days from Thursday through Saturday in the Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park on Route 19. Concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 5:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday followed by fireworks.
Lunchtime concerts, hosted by the Butler County Symphony Association, take place at noon Fridays, some in the symphony office at 259 S. Main St. and some in Diamond Park, across from the Butler County Courthouse on Main Street. Scheduled for Friday is Rock Bottom, vocal/ a cappella group, in the BCSO office. Admission is free. The free Family Concert Series, sponsored by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 13 in the Odd Fellow Gazebo at Alameda Park in Butler Township. The Musicians’ Concert Band, in its 34th performance season, will present a concert featuring Dr. Jonathan Helmick on Thursday in Butler Intermediate High School’s auditorium. The suggested donation for each concert is $5. Visit www.musiciansconcertband.com.
The free Summer Concert Series in Harmony takes place on the square. Performing at 7 p.m. Thursday will be Fantastix Dancers along with The Swinging BopCat Big Band, a classic 18-piece big band featuring full selections of saxophone, trombone, trumpet and rhythm.
