SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — Police said they found a Slippery Rock man passed out with suspected heroin and marijuana Wednesday while in a parked car at a gas station.

State police in Lawrence County were called to the Sheetz gas station on Route 422 to check on reports of a man unconscious behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta with the engine running.

Police found Bernard Selzer, 29, of Slippery Rock and alleged that he was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. They found him carrying 43 stamp bags of what they believed to be heroin. The bags were marked with a label that said “Uber.”

Police said they also found 10 THC vaporized cartridges, 15 packages of THC in an edible form and drug paraphernalia.

Bernard was taken to UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle for a blood test.

According to police, charges are pending and Selzer has been released from police custody.
