Puppy Love
Above, Ayla Jenkins, 2, of Butler receives a little kiss from a Shichon named Mya Saturday morning at the second annual Memorial Mutt Strut in memory of Garrett Fifield held at Alameda Park. Garrett was known for his love and commitment to animals of all species and was often referred to as the animal whisperer. His mother, Amy Garrett, now works at the Butler County Humane Society. The Eagle will publish further coverage of the event, which was a fundraiser for the humane society, once the money raised is tallied Monday. Top, and right, are two Dachshunds, both sisters, owned by Kay Shakely, selected as winners at the event. Delilah with the black coat and Katie with a brown coat won the smallest dog competitions.
