Commissioners add insurance coverage to solicitor contract

The Butler County Commissioners voted Tuesday to amend solicitor Julie Graham’s contract to add insurance coverage.

Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the amended contract.

The commissioners hired Graham with a six-month contract, paying her $9,516 a month at the May 1 meeting.

The contract was amended to add insurance coverage, said Leslie Osche, commissioners chairman.

Graham, who retired after previously serving as solicitor, was appointed to the position after Mike English resigned.

“She agreed to stay on through the end of December,” Osche said.

The commissioners plan to advertise for a permanent solicitor and hope to have one in place by the reorganization meeting in January, she said.
