Search by probation officer allegedly yields LSD, 'ecstasy'
A Butler man is back in trouble with the law after his probation officer recently found him with nearly four dozen doses of LSD, a club drug and marijuana, authorities said.
Jonathan J. Dillingham, 26, is facing felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges.
The probation officer stopped Dillingham around 2 p.m. May 3 near his apartment on West Brady Street and searched him, according to county detectives. A cigarette pack he had allegedly turned up suspected MDMA, a mood-enhancing drug known as “ecstasy.”
Detectives said the defendant also turned over a blotter sheet containing 45 individual “hits” of LSD and a small bag containing marijuana.
Dillingham is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled June 3 at the office of District Judge William Fullerton in Butler.
Court records showed that Butler police Oct. 30 found Dillingham with a crack pipe on West Locust Street.
In March, he pleaded guilty in that case to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and he was sentenced to six months of probation.
