FAIRVIEW TWP — Fairview Township will have its annual cleanup day for township residents from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at 1571 Hooker Road, Karns City.

[naviga:h3]School slates visitation day[/naviga:h3]

JEFFERSON TWP — HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road, will host a Visitation Day for families considering a Christian education for their children.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visitors will be able to take a tour, ask questions and talk with financial advisers about tuition and scholarship options. This event is open to parents and children.

HIS Kids Christian School has classes from preschool through sixth grade. Free busing is provided from seven local school districts for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

[naviga:h3]Crossfire hosts rummage sale[/naviga:h3]

First United Methodist Church will hold its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its Crossfire Campus, 1802 N. Main St. Extension.

Items for the rummage sale may be dropped off at Crossfire from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. No televisions, organs, computers or mattresses will be accepted.

All proceeds benefit the continued missionary work in Honduras.

[naviga:h3]Plant sale planned for May 18[/naviga:h3]

Butler County Parks and Recreation and the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will host the Spring Garden Market and Home Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 18 at Alameda Park.

The free event will feature the Master Gardener plant sale, children’s petting zoo, and a selection of vendors.
