CRANBERRY TWP — Two men from Georgia face more than 50 charges each after they allegedly stole mail from boxes along Route 19.

Xavier Ferguson, 24, of Jonesboro and Quentavious Price, 32, of Lithonia, Ga., each face 22 counts of forgery, 21 counts of using an access device, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, providing false identification, possessing an instrument of crime and four various conspiracy charges.

According to criminal complaints filed Thursday by Cranberry Township police, officers received a complaint of individuals stealing mail from boxes on Route 19 near Manor Drive. Witnesses gave officers cell phone photos of the vehicle involved in the incident.

At 11:01 p.m. Wednesday, about six hours after the initial complaint, officers saw the vehicle identified in the photos traveling along Route 19 and followed it to a business. They spoke with the occupants, identified as Price and Ferguson, who denied any wrongdoing.

A search of the vehicle allegedly found mail under the front seat of the vehicle. The complaint states officers also found Price's driver's license in the glove box — it was different from the one he had previously given them.

Both men were arraigned Thursday and are in Butler County Prison on $75,000 monetary bond. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for May 10.
